Many Richmond businesses have quickly pivoted to offer safety products and services related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Others were already suppliers of key medical equipment and supplies. A list of local manufacturers and suppliers has been compiled.

Province of BC COVID-19 Supply Hub

Are you a business that can supply products and services in support of B.C.’s COVID-19 response? As worldwide demand increases, the B.C. Government is looking for both medical and non-medical products and services to help with the response. Companies looking to offer support or supplies are asked to register through the COVID-19 Supplier Hub.

Government of Canada COVID-19 Supply Hub

The Federal Government has developed a supply hub providing information and resources to help organizations buy and sell personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes valuable information for both buyers of PPE as well as companies navigating the process of selling PPE.

Government of Canada Call for Suppliers

The Federal Government has issued a call to suppliers for the provision of products and services required in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. These include products such as N95 masks, surgical masks, gloves, and gowns, as well as services such as guard/security services, nursing services, accommodation, and food services. Below is a more detailed list and a link to submit your information into a centralized database.

Government of Canada Call for Manufacturers

If you are a Canadian manufacturer or business that can assist Canada in meeting the need for medical supplies, your help is needed.

If you can say yes to the following, we want to hear from you.

  • You manufacture in Canada and/or have ready access to necessary inputs through your supply chain.
  • You have equipment or facilities that can be rapidly re-tooled to meet medical needs, including for personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks and surgical gowns; sanitizers; wipes; ventilators; and other medical equipment and supplies.
  • You have skilled workers who are able to respond and who could be available for work in the current circumstances.

The Plan to Mobilize Industry to fight COVID-19 directly supports businesses to rapidly scale up production or re-tool their manufacturing lines to develop products made in Canada that will help in the fight against COVID-19.

Researchers at Canadian and international universities, government departments, colleges, and highly innovative firms with relevant expertise can register their interest to work with the National Research Council on COVID solutions  HERE.

Next Generation Manufacturing Canada COVID-19 Response: Made Smarter – Strategic Supply Challenge

Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (NGen) is committed to building world-leading advanced manufacturing capabilities in Canada. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, NGen is launching a strategic supply challenge aimed at developing sustainable and globally competitive manufacturing capabilities in Canada for products critical to protecting the health of Canadians. Projects will be selected for funding based on critical needs identified by the Government of Canada, the long-term viability of manufacturing those products in Canada, and the ability of manufacturers to produce products that are safe for use and meet required product and production quality standards.
